Apple Is Selling Stuff on eBay Now

What does Apple have in common with your stay-at-home aunt who loves cats and knits you sweaters in her spare time? They both sell their goods on eBay now.

Apple Is Selling Stuff on eBay Now (Updated)What does Apple have in common with your stay-at-home aunt who loves cats and knits you sweaters in her spare time? They both sell their goods on eBay now. Apple has sneakily opened up a Refurbished Outlet on eBay to test out the online auction waters.

One good thing about Apple’s refurbished outlet on eBay though is that it only charges tax in a few states in the US (as opposed to every state on Apple.com). So if you’re looking for an Apple product on the cheap, paying no tax on eBay might save you a few bucks. Buying refurbished really is the best way to save on Apple products. Update: On product pages, there’s a note saying: “This seller has been authorized by Apple Inc. to sell Apple Certified Refurbished products on eBay.” That would point towards an authorized Apple reseller running the Refurbished Outlet and not Apple. However 9to5Mac is still saying eBay told them it’s an Apple run store within eBay.
